In September 2019, Jeanne Socrates completed her second circumnavigation. This is no mean feat for any sailor, however, for Jeanne, this journey has resulted in her joining the record books as she is the oldest person to sail solo, unassisted, non-stop around the world from North America. Jeanne set off aged 76 and celebrated her 77th birthday in August aboard her yacht SV Nereida. After 339 days at sea, she arrived safely back into Victoria, British Columbia.

The yacht she chose to sail? A Najad 380.
