Jeanne Socrates sets record as the oldest person to circumnavigate unassisted

Jeanne Socrates arrives in Victoria, Canada after 339 days sailing around the world. Jeanne is the oldest person to sail around world unassisted.

On Saturday 7th September, a huge welcome was given to Jeanne Socrates and her yacht, SV Nereida, a Najad 380, as they arrived at Inner Harbour, Victoria, Canada, after 339 days sailing around the world solo and unassisted. Huge congratulations to Jeanne!

This is her third attempt at circumnavigating the world. In 2013, she became the oldest woman to single-handedly circumnavigate the world on a solo journey, which earned her a Guinness World Record and now Jeanne has done it again!
