At SE Yachts, handing over a new Arcona Yachts is never just a final step. It’s a carefully managed process designed to ensure every yacht is fully prepared, tested and ready to be enjoyed from the moment her owner steps on board.
Before any handover takes place, our team travels to the yard where each yacht is built. Depending on the model, this may be Arcona’s main facility in Sweden or one of their long-established European production sites.
Being there in person allows us to carry out a detailed pre-delivery inspection (PDI) at the point of completion, working closely with the build team to check that every system, finish and detail meets the expected standard.
Our PDI process is designed to give both us and our clients complete confidence. We systematically review:
Any adjustments can be addressed directly with the yard before the yacht leaves, ensuring everything is exactly as it should be.
Inspection alone isn’t enough. Every Arcona yacht we commission is taken out on the water for a full shakedown sail.
This is where everything comes together. Under sail, we assess performance, handling and onboard systems in real conditions. It’s an essential step that allows us to fine-tune setup and confirm the balance of speed, control and comfort that Arcona is known for.
Only once both the inspection and shakedown sail are complete do we move forward to the final sea trial and owner handover.
By this stage, the yacht has already been thoroughly tested and checked, allowing the handover process to focus on what matters most – helping the owner get to know their boat and feel confident from day one.
For us, this approach is simple. We believe that commissioning a yacht properly is just as important as choosing the right yacht in the first place.
By being present at build, carrying out our own inspections and sailing every boat before handover, we ensure each Arcona yacht is delivered exactly as it should be – ready to perform, ready to explore, and ready for its owner to enjoy.
