Saturday 7 June 2025, Cowes – In one of the most celebrated events on the sailing calendar, 835 boats took on the 50.1-nautical-mile Round the Island Race, battling tides, wind shifts and iconic Solent landmarks in a one-day sprint around the Isle of Wight.

Among the fleet were eight Arcona yachts, a proud showing for the performance cruising brand and one that delivered results. Leading the charge was Triarchy, an Arcona 380, which finished an impressive 2nd in class and 7th overall in ISC Division, showcasing the competitive spirit and seakeeping ability Arcona is known for.

Design Expertise On Board

Sailing aboard Triarchy was Ariadna Pons, co-founder of Jeppesen & Pons and the designer of the latest, award-winning Arcona 50. While Triarchy is an earlier Arcona model, Ariadna’s presence bridged the brand’s innovative present with its performance-driven legacy.

“It was fantastic to experience how well the Arcona 380 still performs in such a competitive fleet,” said Ariadna. “She felt responsive and fast throughout – everything you want in a coastal race like this.”
