Arcona 435 Mk II splash

A new Arcona 435 Mk II  has recently been launched at Arcona Yachts’ yard in Henån, Sweden, and is now in the water undergoing final commissioning ahead of handover to her UK owner.

This particular yacht marks a return to Arcona for her owner, who previously enjoyed many years with an Arcona 400 – a proven all-rounder, widely respected for its versatility across both cruising and club racing.

Established in Sweden in 1982, Arcona Yachts are built by sailors, for sailors, with a focus on performance, comfort and craftsmanship. Every model is designed to be easily managed by two people in a wide range of conditions, combining responsive sailing characteristics with refined interiors and practical layouts.

The Arcona 435 has long been recognised as one of the standout performance cruisers in her class, winning European Yacht of the Year and earning praise from across the industry. Described by Yachting Monthly as the “Greyhound of the sea unleashed”, she offers a compelling blend of speed, balance and control.

The Mk II evolution builds on this award-winning platform, refining key details to enhance both performance and onboard comfort, while maintaining the core characteristics that define the Arcona brand.

As Yachting World noted:
“Time spent on the wheel of the Arcona 435 is time you’ll value. You’ll soon become a helm hog – you’ll get up for your watch early to see if there’s any chance of getting a few minutes more. Try it, if you think I’m exaggerating.”

For this owner, the decision to step up to the Arcona 435 Mk II was a natural progression:

“We loved our Arcona 400 for its balance and ease of handling, but the 435 Mk II takes everything we enjoyed and elevates it. It feels faster, more refined and perfectly suited to how we sail now.”

SE Yachts supported the owner throughout the specification and build process, working closely with Arcona to ensure the yacht reflects their sailing plans and priorities.

“It’s always rewarding to work with returning Arcona owners,” said Simon Rosier, SE Yachts. “There’s a real understanding of what the boats offer, and the 435 Mk II is a natural next step.”

With commissioning now underway, the yacht will soon be handed over in the UK, ready for the season ahead.
